ADELE ELAINE PIERCE: 72, passed away April 4, 2026, at Rolling Hills LTC facility in Wichita, Kansas.  Adele was born on March 4, 1954, in Topeka, KS, to Francis and Rhoda (Buttel) Pierce.  She was the second of five children and a sister to four brothers.  She attended grade school in Topeka until the family moved to Wichita in 1968, where she attended High School and graduated in 1972.  After High School, she stayed in Wichita for several years and worked in various jobs, including bartending and cooking at a local bar.  From there, she and some friends ventured to Texas, where she managed, cooked, and bartended for a neighborhood bar in Fort Worth for many years.

She was an avid Texas Rangers baseball fan, enjoyed golfing, fishing, and boating.  She traveled to Europe on at least one occasion and enjoyed traveling to destinations in the US.  She began having health problems, which caused her to retire from her restaurant career.  After a stay in the hospital in Fort Worth, she needed more care than could be provided by her local friends.  She came back to Wichita in 2018, where she lived on her own until 2023.  She moved into the nursing facility due to continued declining health.  She went to kidney dialysis 3 days a week during this time, which drained her energy.  She finally succumbed to End Stage Renal Failure.

Adele is survived by brothers Greg and Tim of Wichita, KS, Steve of Baldwin City, KS, and Kurt of Kansas City, MO. She has 10 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Rosary will take place at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, April 25, 2026 with the Funeral Mass to follow at St. Francis of Assisi 861 N. Socora.
