Alta Loucille (Montgomery) Walden, 79 years old, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, May 15, 2025.  She was born on March 6, 1946, to James Everett and Virginia L. (Miller) Montgomery in Howell County, Missouri.  Loucille was the second oldest of ten children.  She was saved at a young age and always had a heart after God.  In her teens she began working in ministries in the Church.  From these early ministries, God led her into a pastoral position in Revival Way Mission Church.

She married Junior S. Walden (a musician, singer and minister) on July 23, 1965.  They worked together in the ministry for some years.  In marrying Junior, she was blessed with a daughter, Ramona, who blessed them with grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, who they loved to spend time with.  Her love of gospel music led her to a lifelong ministry of music, playing and singing.  She led the family singing group, The Harvest Time Singers and led worship in the church.  Loucille always loved to work, she worked at many different jobs as a young person, even at the Sedgwick County Courthouse.  After getting married she worked in the pharmacy at Crown Drug Store.  She then went to work at McCormick Armstrong and worked there until she retired in 1998, to be a full time Pastor at Revival Way Mission Church. Loucille worked tirelessly for the Lord in many capacities within the Church and other religious organizations.  She retired from her position as Pastor at Revival Way Mission Church in 2011, for health reasons.

She is survived by her daughter Ramona (Jim) Rowley, Winfield, KS and grandchildren Jake Gumm, OK City, OK, Crystal Morton, Carrey (Curtis) Nickum, Peter (Crystal) Rowley, Winfield, KS, Mistie (Jeff) Gorajewski, Portland, TX, Stacey Rowley, Towanda, KS and 14 great grandchildren and 7 + 1 on the way great-great grandchildren.  She is also survived by her brother Fred Montgomery and sisters Carolyn Fisher, Faye Fisher, Susie (Gary) Crane of Wichita, KS, Margaret Fisher of Sheridan, AR and many nephews and nieces and a host of friends.  She is preceded in death by her husband Junior S. Walden, son Stefen Walden, parents James Everett and Virginia L. (Miller) Montgomery, brothers David and Bert Montgomery, sisters Mary Rivard, Mildred Montgomery.

Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. with the funeral service to follow at 1:00 P.M Friday, May 23, 2025 at Baker Funeral Home West 3224 N. Tyler Rd. Wichita, Ks. Burial will take place at Kechi Cemetery.
