Obituary

Andy Joe Ingland ,67, was born on January 30,1958, to Jay Ingland and Betty Ingland (Warden) in Liberal, KS and peacefully entered eternal life on September 29, 2025, in Wichita, KS surrounded by his loved ones.

Andy is proceeded in death by his father Jay Ingland, mother Betty Ingland, brother Randy Ingland and wife Marsha Devoe.

Andy is survived by his daughter Whitney (Shawn) Becker of Wichita, KS Granddaughters Alana Carlson of Wichita, KS, Brystal Becker of Wichita, KS and niece Stephanie (Michael) Bax of Amarillo, TX.

Andy attended Liberal High School and graduated in May of 1976. During high school Andy was involved in many sports including football, track, and wrestling. Andy achieved his bachelor's degree in science from Wichita State University in May of 1981.

Andy then traveled to California where his love for the Raiders grew. After his California adventures Andy had a career as a painter in the construction industry.

Wherever Andy was you were guaranteed to have a good time. His love for life was beautiful and the love he had for his friends and family even more so.

Although Andy had many loves in his life, he met his match when in 2003 he started a relationship with Marsha Devoe. From that relationship a beautiful family would form.

Along with Marsha, Whitney, her daughter would enter his life and give him the best gift of all, a grandchild. In 2009 Alana was born and Andy was smitten. There is not one person who talked to Andy who did not also hear of his love for his family that had formed.

In 2011 Andy's love Marsha was diagnosed with dementia and his role would now switch to caretaker. The love and care given by him was unmatched. 2018 in July his love would leave this world to wait for him in the next life.

If you asked him, Andy's favorite past time would be spending time with his granddaughter Alana and the joy and pride he felt watching her grow. He would be able to also walk Whitney down the aisle when she married in 2022, giving her the gift of being a father to give his daughter away. From this union Andy's family grew even more. Although there are many journeys to his life, it sadly ended abruptly from a devastating cancer diagnosis in August of 2025. Andy would not suffer a long battle and would spend the last weeks of his life with his family enjoying the little things like football games back on TV and cookouts on the weekends. To know Andy was to love him. He had the best outlook on life and whenever asked about the good and bad things in life he felt they all held some kind of beauty in them. He was known for always saying, "It's a beautiful thing"
