Apolonio Martinez Ponce, 81, of Xitlitla, Mexico, in 1943 to Francisco Martinez and Librada Ponce and died in Wichita, Kansas on the 22nd of November 2024. Apolonio attended school in his hometown which he also taught early in his life. Apolonio ventured out to the city of Monterrey, Mexico where he became a glass craftsman. Apolonio spent many hours of his days reading the bible.

Apolonio was preceded in his death by his parents, Francisco Martinez and Librada Ponce, his wife, Blanca Alicia Rodriguez de Martinez, siblings, and two grandchildren.

He is survived by his sons and daughters, Francisco Martinez (Maria Eugenia), Apolonio Martinez, Librada Martinez, Blanca Luna (Michael), and Jose Luis Martinez (Mireya), 6 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren. A rosary and service will be held at Baker Funeral Home on Wednesday the 27th of November 2024.
