Obituary

With profound sadness and broken hearts, we announce the passing of Ashley Kay Caldwell, who left this world on July 22, 2026, at the age of 38.

Ashley was born on February 4, 1988, in Wichita, Kansas, and was raised in Sedgwick, Kansas, where she built lifelong friendships and countless cherished memories.

Above all else, Ashley was a devoted mother to her beloved son, Braylen Clark, who was truly her whole world. The bond they shared was one of unconditional love and friendship, and every moment they spent together was precious. Her greatest joy in life was being Braylen's mom.

Ashley found happiness in life's simple pleasures. She loved taking long drives with the windows down and the music turned up, soaking in the fresh air and enjoying the moment. She loved being outside, going out to eat, and spending time with the people she loved. She never passed up a chance to go out for Mexican food, especially if it meant enjoying queso, margaritas, and good conversation with family and friends. Some of her favorite moments were the quiet ones—lounging on the couch watching her shows or movies. She especially looked forward to family gatherings and cookouts, affectionately known as "Sunday Funday," where laughter, great food, and time together created memories that will be treasured forever.

Ashley had a kind heart, a beautiful smile, and a love for her family that never wavered. She leaves behind a lifetime of memories that will continue to bring comfort to those who knew and loved her.

While her absence leaves an immeasurable void in our hearts, we find peace in knowing that Ashley has been reunited in Heaven with her beloved mother and the loved ones who went before her. We take comfort in believing they welcomed her with open arms and that she is now surrounded by perfect peace and everlasting love.

Ashley is survived by her beloved son, Braylen Clark; her cherished grandson, Braylen Clark Jr.; her father, Anthony Caldwell; her sister, Brooke Lynn; her brother, Lucas Caldwell; along with many other cherished family members and dear friends whose lives were forever touched by her kindness and love.

She was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Pamela York; her brother, Troy Caldwell; and her beloved grandparents, Ernest and Wanda Helton and Fred and Nancy Caldwell.
