Barbara (Barb) Jean Devereaux, 80, of Wichita, KS, passed away on Wednesday, February 19th, 2025. Barb was born September 15th, 1944, in Griswold, Iowa to Vic & Cathleen Nelson. After graduating high school in Griswold, she married Carl Devereaux on June 30th, 1963, where they settled in Omaha. The Devereaux's relocated to Wichita, Kansas in 1981, where Barb kept busy with baseball and her three boys.

In addition to baseball, Barb also enjoyed going to the races, puzzles, being outdoors, and baking cookies & treats that were out of this world. In later years, she traveled to Arizona and Florida to spend time with family and friends. She also enjoyed bowling and attending her grandkids' sporting and dance events.

She was predeceased by her husband, Carl and her parents, Vic & Cathleen. Survivors include her brothers, Dennis & Doug Nelson of Iowa, her sister Jolene Anderson of Nebraska, and her beloved sons, Todd (Dena), David (Wendy), and Steve, six grandchildren, and two great-granddaughters.

The Devereaux family would like to welcome family and friends to Baker Funeral Home (3224 N. Tyler Rd., Wichita, KS 67205), on Tuesday, February 25th, 2025, between 9 and 11AM for a remembrance and celebration of Barb's life. A graveside service will be held at Resthaven immediately after the visitation.
