Barbara Anne Kelley, 75, passed away peacefully in her sleep at home on October 30, 2026. Born on June 30, 1951, Barb lived a life filled with family, sports, teaching, and the joy of cheering on those she loved.

Barb graduated from Southeast High School and went on to attend Wichita State University, where she played volleyball, basketball, and softball. She devoted more than 30 years to teaching and coaching at Derby High School, sharing her love of sports with generations of students and athletes.

A devoted fan, Barb cheered for the Kansas City Royals and Chiefs, loved KU basketball, and was a Shocker fan through and through. She also enjoyed gardening, baking, and Survivor.

Some of Barb’s happiest moments were spent watching her grandsons play football and baseball. Nothing could keep her from being at a game, cheering them on.

Barb was preceded in death by her parents, William G. and Agatha G. Crelly, and her siblings Daniel, Melvin, and Matthew Crelly.

She is survived by her husband of 49 years, William L. Kelley; her daughters, Kristin Kelley and Tracy (Alex) Cameron; her grandsons, Riley Hitch and Rikey Kelley; and her sister, Mary (Louis) Goins.

Barb will be remembered for her devotion to her family, her love of the game, and the many lives she touched as a teacher and coach.
