Benjamin Eugene Linn, Jr, aka Gene, Benny, age 82, 11/12/1943 - 01/21/2026, passed away peacefully at home from the last stages of Parkinson's disease under the care of Phoenix Hospice.
He was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and raised in Kansas. He graduated from Valley Center High School in Valley Center, KS. He served in the Army as a Mess Sargent; he loved to cook. Worked for the United States Postal Service for 37 years, retired, and then for 13 years worked for Don Hattan Chevrolet as the Courtesy driver, which was his favorite job; he loved to talk to his passengers as they were his captive audience for the duration of their ride about cars, music, old, old movies, and Westerns.
Ben loved Corvettes, music, politics, and old movies and Westerners and read the newspaper every day of his life, every word of every article of the paper; he was a believer in knowing what was happening in the world.
He is survived by his loving spouse, Elizabeth, aka Beckie Linn, who became his devoted caregiver in his last year of life.
Son Brian (Christy) Morris, stepchildren, Angela (Dave) Haverkamp and Andrew Dyke. 6 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren. Sister Debbie Micheal, Brothers, Les Linn and Ron (Robin) Linn, Brother-in-law Tony (Kris) Kohr, along with other loving family.
Preceded in death by his parents Ben and Edythe Linn, sister Peggy Klink, and brother Barry Linn.
