Chod Morrow, 54, of Viola, Kansas, passed away peacefully in his home on Monday, August 3, 2026. He was born on December 6, 1971, in Hutchinson, Kansas, to Darrell and Connie Morrow.

Chod graduated from Kansas State University in 1995 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Sciences. He dedicated more than two decades of his professional life to Cargill Meat Solutions, where he served as Principal Food Scientist beginning in September 2005. Throughout his career, he was recognized not only for his expertise but also for his innovation, leadership, and commitment to excellence. Among his many honors were the Cargill Turkey & Cooked Meats Champion of Customer Focus and Innovation Award (2015–2016), multiple "Make a Difference" Awards for customer service, the Improvement Fanatic Award, and VIP Gold Status for helping drive production efficiency improvements.

A man of unwavering faith, Chod was a Christian and attended Gracepoint Church in Wichita.

Outside of work, Chod was a true outdoorsman. Whether he was waterfowl hunting, paddle fishing, or tackling the next repair project around the house, he found joy in working with his hands and spending time outdoors. Those who knew him often joked that there was no better repairman than Chod Morrow. He had a remarkable ability to fix anything and was always willing to lend a helping hand.

More than anything, Chod loved his family. He rarely missed his children's sporting events and took immense pride in cheering them on through every stage of life. In recent years, his greatest joy became his granddaughter, Averie, who brought endless smiles and happiness to his days. She held a very special place in his heart.

The mountains were Chod's happy place. He often referred to Colorado as "God's country," finding peace, renewal, and inspiration in its beauty. One of his lifelong dreams was to visit Mount Rushmore, a trip he was able to make with a dear friend during a memorable journey to South Dakota—an experience he treasured.

Chod is survived by; his wife, Wendy Morrow; his children, Chod "Garrett" Morrow, Carter Morrow, and Sydney Morrow; granddaughter, Averie; sister, Betsy Miller of Wichita, Kansas; nephew, Derek Manzanares of Manhattan, Kansas; stepmother, Janie Morrow of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; along with many extended family members, friends, and colleagues who will miss him deeply. 

He was preceded in death by his parents Darrell and Connie as well as his stepfather, Harold "Bud" Foust.

Chod will be remembered for his quiet strength, unwavering work ethic, generous spirit, and deep love for his family and friends. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched, the example he set, and the countless memories that will forever be cherished.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 13, 2026, at Gracepoint Church, 9035 W. Central Avenue, Wichita, Kansas 67212.
