Dan Dickgrafe, 66, retired AT&T Supply Chain employee, passed away peacefully at Harry Hynes
Memorial Hospice on February 15, 2026. There are no services planned at this time.
Dan was born in Clinton, Missouri on January 3, 1960, to parents Clarence and Dorothy
Dickgrafe, who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his brothers Ronald
and David Dickgrafe of Missouri.
Survivors include wife of more than 31 years, Sharon (Chalker) Dickgrafe, sons Andy Dickgrafe
(Hope) and Zach Dickgrafe (Shardae) as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Dan began his career in broadcasting, working as a radio announcer, producer, and program
manager in Kansas City and Wichita. He worked at numerous stations including KFDI where he
was known as "Deputy Dan". Seeking greater job stability, he transitioned to a career as a
Deputy Sheriff in Wichita, a role he held for nearly a decade. Dan once again expanded his
professional horizons by joining Southwestern Bell. Southwestern Bell became part of AT&T,
where Dan went on to build a more than 25-year career in the Construction and Engineering
division.
Dan was very passionate in his political point of view and held strong beliefs in the need for
social justice reform.
In his spare time, Dan found joy in touring the country by motorcycle, tinkering in his garage
with woodworking projects and exploring the art of amateur photography.
