David Howell Clark, age 78, passed away peacefully November 7, 2024 in Overland Park, KS.  He was born on January 28, 1946 to Eugene Howell Clark and Juanita Francis (Hale) Clark in Oklahoma City, OK. In 1953 the family moved to Wichita, then moved back to Oklahoma City in 1960 when David was 14.  He graduated from Putnam City High School in 1963 and enlisted in the United States Marine Corps.  He served his country from 1964-1967, the last year of which he was stationed in Vietnam.   After returning from active duty, he attended Wichita State University, then began working at Beech Aircraft and later at Huber Janitorial Supply.  He retired from Huber in 2009. David loved history, was an avid reader, and loved classical music. He was a devoted volunteer at the Kansas Humane Society following his retirement, as well as the clothing and food bank in downtown Wichita.

David is survived by his brother Richard (Judy) Clark of North Little Rock, AR., sister Jeannie (Irvin) Clubine of Branson West, MO., nephews Todd Clark of Little Rock, AR., Brian (Kerri) Frazier of Overland Park, KS., Scott (Katrin) Clubine of Bentonville, AR., nieces Ashley Frazier (Derek Thomson) of Brighton, England;  Amy (Darren) Huxoll of Holbrook, NE., Megan (Barry) Schmidt of Wamego, KS., Allison (Josh) Ronco of Overland Park, KS., 17 great nieces and nephews, and many cousins in Oklahoma.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, January 4, 2025 at the Baker Funeral Home West Chapel.
