With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of a truly remarkable man, whose presence, strength, and spirit left a lasting impact on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

He was, at his core, a no-nonsense man with a sharp sense of humor and a heart that loved deeply and fully. He lived life on his own terms, with honesty, determination, and a quiet strength that carried him through life's many challenges. He was strong-willed, resilient, and proud of the life he built, never losing his appreciation for the people and moments that mattered most.

He was a proud veteran, a role he carried with deep honor throughout his life.

He was blessed to have known great love more than once. He shared a meaningful chapter of his life with Susan Sparkman and later found his soulmate in Belinda (Provence) Crawford, whom he adored wholeheartedly.

Because of him, and the path life took, a beautiful, blended family was created, one that stands today as a testament to his love, his acceptance, and his belief in family above all else. He leaves behind his children: Kim (Brian) Crawford-Rosengold, Shaun (Erica) Crawford, Shawn Shockley, Steven (Michelle) Schniepp, Melissa (John) Schniepp-Hosler, Jason Schniepp, and Chrissy Schniepp, whom he loved as a daughter.

He was the proud grandfather of Jackson Saboe, Tyler (Joel) Crawford-Peterson, Brendan (Savannah) Crawford, Alivia Crawford, Kamden Crawford, Bryce (Parker) Schniepp, Cody (Allison) Schniepp, Dalton (Rebecca) Schniepp, Madison Schniepp, Bailey Schniepp, Sydney Rosengold, Dean Rosengold, Ben Hosler, Brooke Hosler, and great-grandfather to Mia, Ariya, Sabrina, Lucian, Ashtyn, Paxton, Anthony, Lennox, Kowen, Tatum, Emerson, Jett, and Cash.

His love for his grandchildren and especially his great-grandchildren was something extraordinary. They were the light in his heart, bringing him immeasurable joy and pride.

He was predeceased by his parents, Sue and J.B. Crawford; his sisters, Linda and Patty; and his brother, Amos.

He is also survived by his beloved sisters, Janet Andrews and Barbara Kay Kerr, along with James Kerr, with whom he shared a deep and enduring bond. He held a special lifelong friendship with our Uncle Willie, a relationship that was more like that of brothers.

He leaves behind many extended family members whom he loved dearly, including his daughters-in-law Michelle Schniepp, Allison Schniepp, Parker Schniepp, Rebecca Schniepp, Savannah Crawford, and his sons-in-law Brian Rosengold and Joel Peterson, along with many others whose lives he touched in meaningful ways. He also cherished the extended family that came with the life he built with Belinda, including her sister Theresa (Doug) Burns and her brother Danny Provence, who passed just two days before him.

He also held close the people who became part of his story in meaningful ways. Joyce was part of an important chapter in his life, and from that chapter came his son, Shawn, a blessing who became an important part of his life and legacy. He held deep respect and appreciation for Ron, the man who helped raise Shawn, and cherished the bond they shared, especially their Wednesday night dinners together.

He found companionship and unconditional love in his beloved dogs, Windel, Koda, and his cat, Gremlin, who were far more than pets. They were family.
