Deborah Lynn Hicks, age 66, passed away on June 24, 2025. She was born on January 4, 1959, to Rodney and Gerri (Forsythe) Blanchard in Wichita, Kansas.

Deb was the eldest of three siblings, followed by her brother Donald Blanchard (wife Jacqueline) and sister Connie Gilbert (husband Bruce). She met the love of her life, Alan Hicks, in 1977 in Lebanon, Missouri. They were married on January 27, 1979, and together they raised one son, Jacob Hicks.

Deb dedicated many years to restaurant management, including 15 years with Cracker Barrel, where she was loved by coworkers and customers alike. She had a passion for gardening—especially tending to her flowers—and took great joy in discovering antiques and collecting miniatures. A lifelong fan of Snoopy and the Peanuts gang, Deb also shared a special bond with her beloved dog, Sparky (half Dalmatian, half Terrier).

One of the greatest joys of Deb's later years was welcoming her first great-grandchild, a blessing that brought her immense pride and happiness.

Deb is survived by her loving husband, Alan Hicks; her son, Jacob Hicks; and her cherished grandchildren: Skyler Metcalf, Hunter Gibbons, Nolan Hicks, Hannah Litton, Ella Ford, and Emery Ford. She also leaves behind her great-grandson, Zane Fickle; her brother and sister-in-law, Bob and Cathy Hicks; her stepsister, Sandy Hall; and many special family members, including Kim Ford and April Slayden.

Deborah's warmth, humor, and unwavering love for her family will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

A visitation is planned for 12:00 P.M. Tuesday, July 1, 2025 at Newlife Covenant Church 1819 W. Douglas Wichita, Ks. with the funeral service to follow at 1:00 P.M.
