Obituary

Obituary for the amazing women named Della C. Muehler, DOD 3/7/2025. Della was born as Della Marston in Palisade, Nebraska on 8/6/1930 and lived on a farm until she moved to Denver, Colorado at the age of five. She graduated from Denver West High School in 1948. She met the love of her life, Donald Muehler at Swift Ice Cream and they were married on 12/8/1950. Della was a seamstress who made her own children's clothes, doll clothes and souvenir dolls with her mother. She crocheted, painted, embroidered and also altered sports uniforms for her son's store, Athlete's Connection. She worked at Cobe laboratory assembling dialysis machines as well.

Della had four children, Donna Milliron, Diane Muehler, Darron Muehler and Denise Muehler. She had four grandchildren, Brandon Muehler, Tyler Milliron, Tommy Muehler and Mariah Muehler. She had two great granddaughters, Leighton and Gemma Muehler.

When Don retired, Della and Don moved to Sacramento, California to help Donna with her stain glass business. Della sketched the patterns for the stain glass church windows and miscellaneous pictures. After a few years, they moved back to Denver where they managed apartment buildings. Don passed away in 2003.

In 2016 Della moved to Wichita, Kansas with her son Darron and his family to be closer to her grandson Brandon and his family. She was very close to her two great granddaughters. She enjoyed making new friends and playing cards at her Senior Independent Living apartment.

On 3/7/25 Della passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness and strength and was known to others as "a sweetheart". She was the strongest, bravest person we've ever known who stared at adversity in the face, with tenacity and grace. We will all miss her very much.

There will not be a memorial service for her in Wichita. She will be cremated and brought to Denver, Colorado in July where she will be interred with her husband of 53 years at Ft Logan National Cemetery. There will be a memorial service there for her Colorado family and friends.
