Dwayne Eugene Mitts, age 46 protective father to 8 children and loving husband to wife Brandy Mitts. Passed away on January 10, 2025. He was known for his hard work and his willingness to help any and everyone.

We lived in Wichita KS most of our lives and because we had 5 children full time and 2 children every other weekend, we could only afford to live in public housing and our neighborhood was dangerous. We wanted to move to a safe community and raise our kids in a small community. We worked on the house atleast 20 hours a week (40 hours combined). I worked 40 hours a week job and my husband worked around 50-60 hours a week all while raising all of our children. He was a very determined and was able to do anything he put his mind too. Project helps families build a future.

Dwayne is survived by his parents Jeannette and Stanley Mitts, wife, Brandy Mitts, children, Trenton 30 (Stacy), Trinity 25 (Steven), Trevor 23, Treston 21, Treasuree 20 (Jaiven), Tridon 19, Taressa 15, and Tianna 3, brother Denny Mitts, longtime friend of many years Ty Mckenzie.

Preceded in death with grandparents, Teresa Miller, Katherine Phillips, Stanley Morgan Mitts, and siblings Kimberly Routon and Stanley Mitts Jr.

There will be a Rosary service held at 4:30 P.M. Monday January 20th with the Funeral Mass to follow at St. Peter's The Apostle Catholic Church located at 11000 Southwest Blvd. Wichita, KS. 67215. Burial will be 2:00 P.M. Friday January 24, 2025, at Resurrection Cemetery in Wichita, KS. A meal will be served following the burial.
