Frank Lee Forgie, 74, of Wichita passed away peacefully at his home on August 22, 2026. 

He was born in Wichita, Kansas, on February 24, 1952, to Robert “Bob” and Lucille Forgie.

Frank was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was a proud United States Marine who received an honorable discharge. Frank spent his career as a Master HVAC technician, a profession that reflected his knowledge, skill, and ability to fix just about anything.

Frank enjoyed the simple things in life, especially fishing, boating, and camping. Many of his favorite memories were made outdoors with family and friends. He also had a remarkable talent for woodworking and was truly a master of this craft. He took pride in creating things with his hands and sharing his talents with those around him. Frank also enjoyed spending time traveling to Tucson, Arizona, and Beaver Lake, Arkansas.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Robert “Bob” and Lucille, and his siblings, Kay, David, Judy, and John.

He is survived by his loving wife, Marilyn; his daughter, Vicky; his son, Curtis and wife Emily; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandson, along with many family members and friends who will cherish his memory.

Frank will be remembered for his hard-working nature, his many talents, and most of all, the love he had for his family and friends. His memory will live on through the people he loved and the many lives he touched.

A private family graveside service will be held. A celebration of Frank’s life will be announced at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that memorial donations be made in Frank’s honor to the Disabled American Veterans (DAV).
