Georgena Lynn Killion age 56 of Wichita, Kansas, Passed away peacefully on May 20, 2025, in Wichita Kansas at home surround by her loving family and dear ones. Born and raised in Wichita Kansas, Georgena found immense joy in the simple beauties of life and the tranquility of the outdoors.

Georgena dedicated 10 years of service to the city of Wichita water dept as a water meter reader, a role she fulfilled with diligence. It was there that she met her beloved husband, Richard. Following her graduation from WSU tech with a degree in composites, she pursued her lifelong ambition of working in aircraft manufacturing. She joined Spirit Aerosystems, where she proudly contributed to the industry she always admired until retirement.

Above all Georgena's greatest joy came from her family, she was united in marriage with Richard Lynn Killion May 1, 2007. She loved and cherished her children: Preston (Kristy) Whisler, Sara (Josh) Cole, Dylon (Ashley) Whisler, Cameron Whisler. Her heart swelled with pride and affection for her grandchildren: Caiden, Kaylin, C. C., Teagan, Dahlia and Malachi. She is also survived by her father, Roy Whistler, and siblings Tracy (Terry) Cox and Mike Whisler.

Georgena's spirit was deeply connected to nature. She cherished fishing trips with her beloved husband and grandchildren, enjoyed the peace of the open water and the thrill of the catch. A true early bird, she often sought out the serene beauty of sunrises on the lake, finding peace and wonder in each new day's beginning. Her love for the outdoors extended to her vibrant garden, where she spent countless hours nurturing plants and watching them flourish.

Beyond her professional and outdoor pursuits Georgena was a gifted seamstress, creating with her hands and bringing beauty to life through fabric. She also shared a special bond with her husband through their shared passion for antiquing, exploring hidden treasures and finding stories in forgotten objects. Special places in her heart were reserved for Ponca, Arkansas, where she particularly loved exploring the national park, staying in cabins and enjoying the scenic trails, she dearly loved Branson Missouri, especially enjoying Dixie Stampede and Sheperd of the Hills and the adventure of horseback riding there, where she created many cherished memories.

Quiet in demeaner yet possessing an undeniable strength and beautiful spirit. Georgena touched the lives of all who knew her with her gentle presence and loving heart.
Georgena was proceeded in death by her beloved mother Joanne Thomas, and her brothers Norman and Todd Whisler.

Georgena's warm heart and loving nature will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Funeral Arrangements
Viewing will be held on Thursday May 29, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Baker Funeral Home, 3224 North Tyler Road, Wichita, Kansas.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, May 30, 2025, at 10:00 am also at Baker Funeral Home.

Graveside service will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, 6231 West 47th Street South, Wichita, Kansas.

Pallbearers will be Preston Whistler, Dylon Whistler, Cameron Whistler, Steven Robertson, Derek Wisley and James McManus.
