Gwendolyn Irene Watkins age 85 passed away peacefully on February 20, 2025. She was born on September 9, 1939 to Deering Crowne and Helen (Laughlin) Crowe in Wichita, KS.

She is preceded in death by her parents; younger brother, Alen passed away at the VA Hospital 15 years ago.

Gwendolyn is survived by her husband of 6 years, Charles F. "Chuck" Watkins; children, Sheila, Rocky, Gary, Lynn, Steven, Cheri, Robert and Darren; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Gwendolyn worked as a medical transcriptionist. She also worked in various churches in Kansas and Texas, in a voluntary capacity. She attended monthly Bible study at Berean Assembly. She was an Adult Sunday School Teacher at Calvary Temple Assembly. Gwendolyn also taught children's Sunday school at Tree of Life Church. She always put in a huge number of hours preparing for classes. She had a passion for telling people about Jesus.

Gwendolyn lived in many places, Durango, Colorado, Sand Point Idaho and Rolla, MO.

Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on March 1, 2025 at Berean Assembly 1215 West Carey Lane Wichita, Kansas. Her final resting place will be at the Veterans Cemetery in Winfield, Kansas.
