Hai Trong Nguyen passed away on December 10, 2024, at the age of 74. He was born in Le Thuy, Quang Binh, Vietnam. He enlisted the South Vietnamese Navy at the age of 18 and served on the large patrol craft HQ-10.

Hai was preceded in death by his father Hao Trong Nguyen and mother Ly Thi Le, and his older brother Ha Trong Nguyen.

He is survived by his wife Lien Thi Vo; son and daughter in-law Hiep Tat Nguyen/Minh Tam Cao; son and daughter in-law Quang Tat Nguyen/Penny Nguyen; daughter and son in-law Lexy Bich Ngoc Nguyen/Ngai Le; son and fiancée Kent Nguyen/Brooke Reist; son Loc Tat Nguyen; three grandkids, Shayna Kieu Tram Nguyen, Vincent Tat Nguyen, and Lena Ngoc Tien Le; younger brothers Hung Trong Nguyen, Cuong Trong Nguyen, Thinh Tat Nguyen; younger sisters Hoe Thi Nguyen, Huong Thi Nguyen, Hong Thi Nguyen, Hien Thi Nguyen.

Funeral services will be held 9:00 A.M. Friday, December 13, 2024, at Baker Funeral Home West, 3224 N. Tyler Road, Wichita, KS with burial to follow at Resurrection Cemetery at 1:15 P.M.
