Harold L. Jones, 86, passed away peacefully on September 3, 2026, in Wichita, Kansas. He was born on December 19, 1939, in Gardner, Kansas, to John Lee Jones and Hazel Caroline (Clements) Jones.

Harold graduated from Pittsburg State University with a technical degree in welding and went on to build a fulfilling career as a welder. He took great pride in his work and was known for his skill and dedication.

A devoted Southern Baptist, Harold's faith was an important part of his life. He also found great joy in serving his community as a Boy Scout leader, where he had the opportunity to guide and encourage young people.

Outside of work and service, Harold enjoyed many hobbies and simple pleasures. He loved woodworking and could often be found creating and working with his hands. He was an avid reader, particularly enjoying Western novels, and had a special passion for collecting model cars and Phillips 66 cars. One of his greatest joys was his beloved dog, Molly, who was a cherished companion.

Harold will be remembered for his hardworking nature, generous spirit, love of family, and the many interests that brought him happiness throughout his life. He leaves behind a lifetime of memories and the love of those who knew him.

Harold was preceded in death by his parents, John Lee Jones and Hazel Caroline (Clements) Jones.

He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Vera (Atwood) Jones; sons, Johnny (Gail) Jones and Mark (Andrea) Jones; grandchildren, Shawn Jones, Samuel Jones, Whitney Warren, Justin Jones, and Connor Jones; and great-grandchildren, Caleb, Nora, Andrea, Carley, and Anya.

Harold's memory will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched.

A memorial service will be held at Calvary Baptist Church, 320 N Sheridan Ave, Valley Center, KS 67147 at a later date.
