J. Jesus
Diaz Davila
Apr 24, 1947 — Dec 31, 2024
Wichtia
Jesus Diaz, 77, passed away after a long, hard fight with cancer surrounded by loved ones on December 31st, 2024. Jesus was born on April 24, 1947, in La Montesa Zacatecas, Mexico. He moved to Dodge City, KS where he raised his four children. While living in Dodge City, many knew him as the "Panadero" or "Breadmaker". As a baker of Mexican sweet bread, much of the Latino community would frequent his house to buy some of his delicious breads. He loved being around friends and family and always did his best to provide for not just his immediate family, but relatives too. He would randomly break into song and dance, either alone or with this wife or grandchildren. He retired in Wichita, Kansas to be closer to his children and grandchildren and enjoyed gardening and watching his grandchildren grow up.
He is survived by his wife; Guadalupe (Barcenas) Diaz. His four children; Thelma (Lindell) Frankum of Sedalia, Missouri, Gerardo Diaz of Kansas City, Kansas, Elizabeth (Michael) Diaz-Cox of Wichita, KS, Francisco (Amanda) of Peoria, Illinois. Grandkids; Nolan, son of Thelma and Lindell, Jacob, son of Gerardo Diaz, Ethan, Elaina and Lilliana, children of Elizabeth and Michael. Survived by his three brothers; Isidro, Baudelio, Pancho and two sisters; Ausilio and Dolores and their spouses and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm with a Rosary at 6:00 pm January 6, 2025, at Baker Funeral Home West 3224 N. Tyler Road Wichita, KS. 67205.
