Obituary

James "Lynn" Marasco, born August 5, 1951, in Wichita, Kansas, passed away on March 29, 2026, in Wichita, Kansas. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Dorothy Marasco, and his sister-in-law, Carol Marasco.

He is survived by his brothers, Mike and Mark Marasco; and his nieces and nephews: Hollie (Jimmy) Zimmerman and their children Ryder and Boston; Matthew (Jennifer) Marasco and their children Titus, Bram, Mabeline, and Lottie; Jake Marasco and his daughter Briar; Josh Marasco; John Marasco; Maria (Tyler) Pogue and their children Theophilus and Willow Grace; and Hannah (Adam) Hardin.

Lynn graduated from Wichita North High School, Class of 1969, and went on to earn his bachelor's degree in political science from Wichita State University. After graduation, he continued in the family masonry business before later working as an investment broker. Throughout his life, he remained a proud alumnus and dedicated supporter of Wichita State basketball.

He was an active member of Riverlawn Christian Church and a lifelong Kansas City Chiefs fan. Lynn found his greatest joy in following the lives, activities, and accomplishments of his nieces and nephews, taking pride in each of their paths.

Lynn's faith was a steady foundation throughout his life. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.

A celebration of life will be held in the Harbor Room (south entrance) at Riverlawn Christian Church, 4243 N. Meridian Avenue, Wichita, Kansas, on Thursday, April 16, at 10:00 AM.
