Surrounded by love, friendship, Masonic Brotherhood and his wife holding his hand, Jerry W. Elscott went to his Lord and Savior on October 26, 2025. Jerry was born on July 24, 1950 in Newton, Iowa to Kenneth and Mary Louise Elscott.

Jerry's youth was spent as an "Air Force Brat". The family lives in Nebraska, England, Tucson, Arizona and Topeka, Kansas with many visits to family in Newton, IA. He was a Boy Scout. In 1968 Jerry graduated from Washburn Rural High School in Topeka. He worked for a year in pipeline construction and Lawrence Paper Company before enrolling at Washburn University in Topeka. While at Washburn he met his wife in an enrollment line. Jerry married Susan Fisher on August 18, 1973. During college in Topeka he worked for Gordon Department Stores, Frito Lay, USPS and Allis Chalmers. At Allis Chalmers he started a career in Manufacturing requirement planning and procurement. In Jefferson City, Jerry worked for the Unemployment Division of the State of Missouri. He graduated from Lincoln University in 1977 with a bachelor's degree in business administration. Jerry mailed a resume to Boeing; receiving a job offer with a salary offer, and a report date an interview was optional.

He started a career with Boeing on April 24,1978 in Supplier Management. He was a planner, buyer and supported estimating, Jerry worked for Cessna Aircraft for 4 years. He enjoyed semi-retirement working for WSU Sports, a school fundraiser Company, Quivira Council Boy Scouts and Senior Employment job requests. Jerry enjoyed the "perks" of the Boeing Recreation Department, various softball teams, bus ski trips and bowling teams. Friends made resulted in many seasons of waterskiing and sailing on the various Kansas lakes. Other friendships developed into travel all over the world including 48 of the 50 states, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, England, Ireland, Scotland, Mexico, Caribbean Island, Belize and French Polynesia. The travel included numerous ski trips all over the west, hiking trips, National Park Visits, Trade Fairs, beaches, lakes and a horseback ride trip.

Jerry's first word was "car". He had lifelong love of cars, trains and rock & roll music. He purchased a 1959 Chevy Bel Air to restore; his pride and joy! He belonged to Wichita car clubs- Late Great Chevy, and Cadillac LaSalle Club Jerry attended numerous national events with the Cadillac LaSalle Club. He joined the Masonic community in 1987. He was a member of Sunflower Lodge and Midian Shrine Center. At Midian Shrine his 1st unit was Antique Auto. He also belonged to Electric Glide Elite, Nomads, Horse Patrol, Ban Unit and Camel Herders. Jerry's support to the Shrine Children is reflected in his memorial to the "travel" fund to get the children and families to the treatment in St. Louis. Jerry was a member of West Wichita Lions Club and Knife & Fork Club.

Semi-Retirement provided time to pursue motorcycle riding. Jerry joined American Legion Riders and Son's of the American. He also joined Hog Harley Owners Group, Christian Motorcycles Club and rode weekly with ROMEOs "Retired Old Motorcyclist Eating Out" between the organized club events. Susan and Jerry made many road trips to see the sights, visit friends and family and just enjoy being together. Any time off became travel time.

Jerry is survived by his wife Susan of 52 years; sisters, Betty Elscott and Joann Vermeer (Jay), Jon Elscott (Peggy), brother-in-law David Fisher.

A Celebration of life will be held on December 6, 2025, at 1PM at Midian Shrine 130 N. Topeka Wichita, KS.
