Joan Ellen Allan was born in Tyler, TX, on August 15, 1944, and passed peacefully in Wichita, KS, on December 27, 2025.

Parents were Edwin and Kathleen Rasco of Tyler, TX. Siblings were older sister, Sally Paden (Harold) of Santa Fe, NM, and twin brother, John Rasco (Jerri) of Tyler, TX. Joan was married to Bill Allan on August 20, 1965. During their 60-year marriage, they lived in Orange, CA, San Luis Obispo, CA, Tyler, TX, Friendswood, TX, and moved to Wichita, KS in 1980.

Joan worked as a secretary at Derby Oil Refining and Central Church of Christ, now known as Riverwalk Church of Christ. Joan was the mother of Tonia and Corey and also served as a "mother figure" to countless members of the Central Church of Christ Youth Group.

Family and relationships were a passion and focus for Joan. She would often travel to Texas and California to visit various family members. She is preceded in death by her parents, Edwin and Kathleen Rasco, sister Sally Paden, and brother John Rasco. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Bill Allan, daughter Tonia Stoehr, son Corey Allan (Pam), grandchildren Jordan Stoehr, Jacob Stoehr, Sydney Allan, and William Allan. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

A Celebration of Life is planned for Saturday, January 24, 2026, at 2 pm at the Riverwalk Church of Christ, 225 N Waco, Wichita, KS 67202.
