John Arthur Larson, age 81 of Wichita, Kansas, passed away at home on August 12th, 2026.

He was born on March 13th, 1945, in Wichita, Kansas, to A.C. and Katherine Larson. He graduated from South High School and had multiple careers in the manufacturing industry, including aerospace, construction equipment, and custom horse trailers. He was known for his exceptional work ethic. He was also known for his passion for classic cars, especially corvettes, earning him a lucrative reputation for custom paint finishes.

He is survived by his spouse, Sharon Larson, brother Rick (Sharon) Larson, sister Janine Wallace, children Melissa (Jeremy Wheeler) Musgrave, John Andrew Larson, Christi (Ben) Webb, Melanie (Dirk Bassingthwaighte) Pratt, and Dara Larson, step children David Miller, and Wesley (Sarah) Miller, eight grandchildren, four step grandchildren, and five great grandchildren. He was preceeded in death by his parents A.C. and Kay Larson.

A memorial service will be held at Baker Funeral Home West, 3224 N Tyler Rd, Wichita, Kansas, 67205 on Friday, August 21st, 2026, at 11am.
