Katie Lynn Harrington
July 14, 1990 – March 21, 2025
Katie Lynn Harrington, 34, of Clearwater, Kansas, left this world far too soon on March 21, 2025. If you knew Katie, you knew she was a force—fiercely independent, quick-witted, and never afraid to say exactly what was on her mind. She lit up every room she walked into, and her laugh—loud, full of mischief, and impossible to ignore—will echo in our hearts forever.
Katie was a devoted mother above all else. Her children—KyLynn, twin daughters Da Riah and Da Rae, and her son Dayton—were the center of her world. Everything she did, she did for them, and they will always carry her love with them.
She will be sadly missed by her husband, Durell; her mother, Teresa Demel; sister, Jessica Flint; grandmother, Shirley Gregory; aunt, Tammie Johnson; uncle, Gary Johnson; her loving cousins, Korey Johnson and Shelby Johnson, along with many more cousins, nieces, nephews, and many aunts and uncles. Waiting to welcome her home are her father, Glenn Demel; grandfather, Ernie Alcorn; and grandparents, Geneva and Jerome Demel.
Katie was the kind of person who made life more fun just by being in it. She had a sharp sense of humor, a little bit of sass (okay, maybe a lot), and a knack for making people laugh even when they didn't feel like it. She could out cook just about anyone, and if you were lucky enough to share a meal with her, you knew what love tasted like.
Losing her leaves a hole that can't be filled, but those who loved her will carry her spirit forward—the laughter, the warmth, and the wild, beautiful energy that made her who she was.
A celebration of Katie's life will be at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, April 5, 2025, at Baker funeral home, 3224 N Tyler Wichita, KS. In her memory, the family asks that donations go to the go fund me set up to help with funeral expenses and to help her young children and husband navigate through this time of sudden loss.
There will be an auction fundraiser at O'Briens Pub, 5205 E Kellogg on April 27 from 12-5.
Katie, you were one of a kind, and life will never be the same without you. We'll miss you forever.
