Kent Edward Jamis, age 58, beloved husband, father, and grandpa, passed away on April 30th, 2026. Kent loved watching his boys play football and other sports. Kent was an avid KC Chiefs fan. He enjoyed fishing and vacations with the family. Kent was a man who adored his family and would do anything for them. He loved being with his friends. He was adored, loved, and respected by those who knew him. Kent was such a ray of sunshine, a joyful soul, and a charming rascal. He was the guy who would talk and help anyone just because he thought it was needed. Kent enjoyed coaching Little League, Special Olympics, and performing for CASA. He enjoyed being part of the semi-pro football family. You could catch him walking up and down the football field a lot. Through the years, he enjoyed working for OCCK, the Mitchell County Sheriff Department, Sunflower, Excel, Spirit, and Boeing.
Preceded in death by his father, Wayne E Jamis; father-in-law, John Bell Jr.; mother-in-law, Dolores (Lorson) Bell; and sister-in-law, Patricia (Jones) Bell.
Kent is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Pamela (Bell) Jamis, sons Kyle (Shandy) Jamis, Tyler Jamis, and grandson Tristen Jamis. His mother, Janis (Sumner) Jamis, Sherry (James) Pullen, Kevin (Julie) Jamis, Debbie (James) Lange, Deanna (Brian) Pruitt, Chris (Amy) Bell, and Tim Bell Grandchildren, great-grandchildren, Aunts. Uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Kent will be forever missed, but always loved, and in our hearts ❤️
There will be a Celebration of Life for Kent on June 6th.
