Larry Leon McGaugh,76, of Wichita, passed away on the morning of February 26, 2026. He was a loving husband, father, brother, Papa, and friend.

Larry was born on July 3, 1949, in Wichita, Kansas, to Edna Lucille McGaugh (Friend) and Leon Lester McGaugh. He graduated from Wichita East High School in 1967. That same December, he enlisted in the United States Navy and proudly served during the Vietnam War, stationed aboard the USS Camden and USS Neptune.

In December 1969, Larry married the love of his life, Holyce Mae Cremeen, beginning a beautiful journey together that spanned more than 56 years. Along the way, they welcomed two sons: Lucas Leon McGaugh in 1973 and Ronald Eugene McGaugh in 1976.

Larry's love for his family extended far beyond the walls of his home. He was deeply dedicated to supporting his sons in their athletic pursuits and was always present for family and friends whenever they needed him. He also found great enjoyment in fishing, treasuring the quiet moments on the water and the time spent sharing that passion with those he loved.

He was a member of the Masons and Shrine Temple for eight years and retired from Boeing in 2004 after 27 years of service as a tool builder.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Edna Lucille Riker (Friend) and Leon Lester McGaugh; and his sisters, Nora Jackie McGaugh and Kyna L. Rutledge.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Holyce Mae McGaugh; his sons, Lucas (Michelle) McGaugh and Ronald (Danielle) McGaugh; his grandchildren, Alyse, Joey, Braiden, Aubrey, Makaela, and Kylee; his siblings, Debra Robison and Lester McGaugh; and many extended family members and friends.

Larry will be remembered for his steady presence, his dedication to his family, and the quiet strength with which he lived his life. His legacy lives on in those who knew and loved him.

A Visitation will be from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Friday, March 6, 2026 at Baker Funeral Home West 3224 N. Tyler Rd. Wichita, Ks.

A Funeral Service will be at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, March 7, 2026, at Baker Funeral Home West 3224 N. Tyler Rd. Wichita, Ks. The burial will be held at Kechi Cemetery, Kechi, KS.
