Leroy Wayne Bagby, age 84, passed away peacefully on January 6, 2026, with his daughter, Rita, by his side. Wayne was born on August 25, 1941, to Lloyd & Arlene Bagby of Fredonia, KS.

Wayne was a machinist and sheet metal lead man at Boeing for over 45 years. Married to his high school sweetheart, Ruth, for 55 years. Wayne is preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd & Arlene Bagby, and his wife, Ruth Bagby.

Survivors include daughter, Rita (Bagby) Kuykendall, son-in-law Kirk Kuykendall, grandsons Jacob & Max, all of Wichita. Sister, Lynda (Bagby) Press, and brother-in-law Mark Press of Southampton, NY. Sister-in-law Dee Sumner and brother-in-law Dr. Evan Sumner of Springdale, AR.

Services will be held Saturday, January 17th, at 11:30 at First Baptist Church. 1501 State St., Augusta, KS 67010.  Graveside services will be held at Fredonia Cemetery on Monday, January 19, at 11:30.
