It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Lillie Mae (Washington) Dickson, "My Dear." Our fun, funny, caring, and loving wife, mom, sister, aunt, cousin, and beloved friend passed away peacefully in her loving husband's arms in the early morning hours of April 23rd, 2025. She will be missed dearly.
She was born on October 16th, 1952, to Robert and Elizabeth Washington Sr., in Long Beach, California. She grew up in Wichita, Kansas with her mother and six younger siblings. She was a 1971 graduate of Wichita East High School and later worked as a childcare provider and housekeeper.
She is preceded in death by both parents as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She is survived by her husband of 38 years Sidney Dickson; her children, Catina (Maurice) Tsiotsoua, Antawonette (Robert Crenshaw) Cole, and Son, Travis Washington; 7 beloved grandchildren: San Antonio Washington, Robert Crenshaw II, Mskanaija Washington, Natassja Washington, Dajah Tsiotsoua, Makaylee Tsiotsoua, and Mila Washington; 4 Great-grandchildren, Keith (KJ) Ward, Kennedi Washington, Ella Mims, and Khloe Patterson; her siblings, Pastor Robert (Charlotte) Washington Jr., Ryverlee McCoy, Theresa Sanusi, Mary (Kendall) Williams, Michael Davis, Lawrence (Sophia) Giddens, and her many nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
Her funeral service will be at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church located at 1654 Mathewson St, Wichita, KS 67214 on Friday, May 2nd, 2025 @ 11am.
