Lowell Lamonte Rising, (82), of Wichita, Kansas passed away on Sunday, October 19th, 2025. He was born August 21, 1943, in Winfield, KS to the late Bryce & Helen (Sickles) Rising. Having grown up on a farm, he learned the value of hard work and the pride that comes from doing your best. He graduated from Emporia State University in 1968 earning his CPA and worked at various companies as a Controller and CFO. He married Gloria Rising August 30, 1980. They remained happily married for 45 years. Lowell was a loving husband and father. He enjoyed spending time with his family, volunteering at his church and traveling.

He is survived by his wife, Gloria Rising and children: Phillip Craven, Lisa Craven, Amy Peebler, Tamie Rising, David Rising, Jessica Rising, and Rebecca Rising; 9 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. He is also survived by his sisters Joann Bair, Diane Stanley, and brothers Deryl Rising, Norman Rising as well as extended family, friends and a wonderful church family who traveled the journey with us with prayer and support.

Service is scheduled for Friday, November 7th at 10:30 AM, and will take place at Asbury Church. Memorials have been established in Lowell's name at Asbury Church, 2801 West 15th St. North. Wichita, KS, and Good Shepherd Hospice, Wichita, KS.

He will be missed by many.
