Lucille Tounsley, age 92, died August 10, 2026 at the Harry Hynes Hospice Center in Wichita, KS. 

She was born June 18, 1934 in St. Johnsbury, VT. Lucille was one of ten children and is preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Robert E. (Bob) Tounsley; parents, Edward J. and Florida (Gilbert) Dauphin; brothers Bill, Joseph, Albert, Jerry, Tony and Eddie Dauphin; and sister, Terry Rossignol. 

She is survived by her son, Stanton (Stan) Chase and his wife Melanie Durham-Chase (Wichita, KS); grandson, Matthew Chase and his wife, Gaby Bravo (Kansas City, MO); granddaughter, Alexandra (Alex) Chase and her spouse, Stephan Anderson (Seattle, WA) and granddaughter, Jennifer Lobsinger (CA); sisters, Irene Abdalla and Pauline Veilette; numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, friends and family are invited to make a donation in her name to Harry Hynes Hospice (hynesmemorial.org) or Harvest Community Church, 8340 W 21st St, Wichita, KS 67205.

A memorial service will be held at the chapel adjacent to her assisted living facility, Via Christi Village Ridge (3636 N Ridge Rd, Wichita) on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at 2 pm.
