Obituary

Lynn Howard VanStock, 76, of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, passed away on August 21, 2026, in Wichita, Kansas. He was born on February 9, 1950, in Hutchinson, Kansas.

Lynn graduated from Hutchinson High School before proudly serving his country in the United States Air Force, where he achieved the rank of Staff Sergeant. After leaving the Air Force, Lynn continued his career as a railroad mechanic, a profession that reflected his mechanical ability, dedication, and strong work ethic. He eventually retired from the railroad.

In retirement, Lynn enjoyed building model airplanes, putting his creativity and mechanical skills to work. Above all, Lynn cherished his family and the memories they shared together.

Lynn was preceded in death by; his beloved wife of 48 years, Susan VanStock; his daughter, Christiana VanStock; his sisters, V. Marie Schwab (VanStock) and Bobbie Patterson (VanStock); and both of his parents.

He is survived by; his sister, Karen VanStock; his daughters, Tina Weesner (VanStock), Niki Casey (VanStock), and Jenny VanStock; twelve grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Cremation has taken place and a private burial will take place in Louisiana.

Lynn leaves behind a legacy of service, perseverance, love, and devotion to his family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, and his memory will live on through the many generations of his family.
