Marjorie Jean
Kessler
Feb 2, 1923 — Jan 11, 2025
Wichita
Marjorie Jean Kessler, devoted mother, wife and grandmother passed away January 11, 2025. Born February 2, 1923 in Burlington, Kansas to John and Edna McCormick, she was a lifelong resident of Wichita.
Preceded in death by husband Dolph Kessler, Marjorie is survived by her children Candy (Ron) Gardner, Annette (Dan) Kreis, and Brent (JanNelle Rivers) Kessler, 7 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Marjorie was a tireless volunteer for many local charities. She helped organize Project Concern's Walk for Mankind and volunteered at Trees for Life for many years. She was generous and hardworking, an accomplished seamstress, weaver and gardener. Marjorie had a keen interest in birds, nature, and Americana. She enjoyed sharing stories about life growing up in rural Kansas with her friends at Presbyterian Manor where she spent her final years. She had a full and varied life and will be dearly missed. Our thanks to the staff at Presbyterian Manor and Good Shepherd Hospice for their thoughtful care in her last days.
Memorial service to be held at a later date.
