With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Michael Pierce on November 8, 2025,
at the age of 68, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories.
Mike was born on June 26, 1957, in Wichita, KS, to Jack and Berna Dean Pierce, the
fourth of six children. From an early age, he displayed a remarkable talent for fixing
things—a skill that would define his career and touch the lives of many.

Mike graduated from North High School in 1975 and went on to become an ASE Master
Certified and Re-Certified Technician. For more than 40 years, he dedicated himself to
his craft, spending many of those years operating his own automotive repair shop,
Professional Automotive Repair (PAR). He was known for his strong work ethic, his
honesty, and his willingness to help anyone in need. Over the decades, he built lasting
relationships with longtime customers and vendors who trusted and respected him, both
as a mechanic and as a friend.

Outside of his profession, he loved traveling, especially cruising throughout the
Caribbean. He also had a remarkable gift for gardening. His garden overflowed with
vibrant vegetables and fruits, which he happily shared with those he loved. His
impeccable yard was his pride and joy; complete with a beautiful koi pond and an array
of exotic plants and trees he tended with great care. During Christmas, his yard
transformed into a true Winter Wonderland. His home became a neighborhood favorite,
winning "Best Decorated House" three years in a row. The magical display drew visitors
from near and far—even arriving by trolleys and buses—to experience the joy and
beauty he created.

Mike was also an active member of his community, serving for many years on his
neighborhood HOA board, where he worked tirelessly to help maintain and improve the
community he loved.
But most of all, Mike was the fixer of all things—if something was broken, he could fix it.
Everyone turned to him for his incredible talents. He built, he repaired, and he taught,
crafting love into every detail of his work. His hands were steady, his patience
unmatched, and his willingness to help anyone in need was one of his greatest gifts.
Those he helped will remember not only what he fixed, but the kindness, care, and
heart he brought to every task.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Berna Dean Pierce; his brother, Bill
Pierce; and wife, Jill Pierce. He leaves behind his brother, Jim Pierce; his sisters Debbie
(Charles) Bales, Reba (Byron) Chrisler, and Angela Cook; as well as many nieces,
nephews, and family members who loved him deeply.

A Celebration of Life will be held 2pm, Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at Baker Funeral Home
West, 3224 N. Tyler Rd., Wichita, KS 67205. Interment following at Resthaven Garden
of Prayer, 11800 W Hwy 54, Wichita, KS.
