Obituary

Myron Lee Hite Sr., 72, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 15, 2026. Born in Valley Center, Kansas, to Vernon and Helen (Paseck) Hite, Myron lived a life full of love, adventure, and joy.

A proud U.S. Army veteran, Myron served his country with honor before returning home in 1973 to begin a career in the aircraft industry in Wichita, Kansas, where he worked until his retirement.

In 1972, Myron married Iris (Williams) Hite, and together they shared 21 years of marriage. In 2001, Myron met Samvira (Ky) Hite, and they were united in marriage in 2016, sharing a partnership full of love, laughter, and support until his passing.

Myron had a zest for life that was infectious. He loved the water—boating, sailing, parasailing, and fishing brought him immense joy. He also delighted in dancing, roller skating, and all kinds of music, always finding ways to share his energy and enthusiasm with those around him.

Family was at the heart of Myron's life. He is survived by his beloved wife, Samvira (Ky) Hite; his children, Myron L. Hite II (fiancé Gina) and Brandi M. Hite; his stepsons Samuel Ky (wife Judy) and Jeremy Ky (wife Shawna); and his cherished grandchildren Coltin, Zane, Brock, Ethan, Jayce, Kari, Cece, and Elena. His parents, Vernon and Helen Hite, and his brothers Verlin, Ronnie, and Harold Hite, preceded him in death.

Friends and family are invited to celebrate Myron's life on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at Baker Funeral Home, 3224 N. Tyler Rd, Wichita, Kansas 67205, with visitation at 10:00 a.m. and service at 11:00 a.m. He will be laid to rest immediately following the service at Andover Cemetery, 2438 N. Andover Rd, Andover, Kansas 67002.

Myron's warmth, joy, and adventurous spirit touched everyone who knew him, and he will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered.
