Nita Wegener was born on March 5, 1936, in Cassville, Missouri. Her parents were Dortha and Owen Faris. They moved to Wichita, Kansas, where Nita attended Wichita Schools, including West High School and Friends University.

Her Parents, Brother James, and Sister Donna have all passed away.

She married Kenneth Waegener in June of 1956. They had two children, Karla and Richard.

Nita was a member of the Metropolitan Baptist Church for many years. She was an excellent Bowler and won many Awards for her scores.

She was devoted to her family and spent many hours with her family by her side.

A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, March 10, 2026 at White Chapel Cemetery 1806 N Oliver St, Wichita, KS.
