Norris Pat Woodard, 87, passed away on July 12, 2026, in Wichita, Kansas. Born on March 17, 1939, Norris lived a full and vibrant life marked by dedication to his family, career, and passions.

A proud graduate of Maize High School, Norris served his country honorably in the United States Marine Corps. His professional journey included significant contributions to the aviation industry through his work at Cessna Aircraft and later Boeing Aircraft. He also owned and operated Maize Oil in Maize, Kansas, showcasing his entrepreneurial spirit.

Norris had a zest for life that was evident in his hobbies and interests. He was an avid participant in car and boat racing as well as antique tractor pulling. He was a Mason and a Midian Shriner being honored for 50 years of participation. He loved going to the lake, in particular Table Rock Lake. Known for his playful nature, he delighted those around him with pranks and teasing, bringing joy and laughter to many.

He is survived by; his daughter Kim (Cris) Keeter; his significant other Jo Riley; his sister Theresa Hall (Jerry); and his cherished grandchildren Derrick, Michaela, Chase, Kaleigh, Paige, Erek, Tank, Ashton, Lakin, Taryn, Jacksyn, Taylor, Jerred, and Alexa; as well as 7 Great Grandchildren. 

He was predeceased by his parents Norris M. Woodard and Betty Woodard; Marjorie Young; and sister Sherre Barringer.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 16, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m., both at Baker Funeral Home West located at 3224 N. Tyler Rd., Wichita, KS 67205. Processional will be led by his Allis Chalmers tractor to Maize Park Cemetery, Maize, KS.

Norris will be remembered as a dedicated father and friend who brought energy and fun to every moment. May his memory bring comfort to all who knew him.
