Obituary

Pamela Kay (Hopkins) Jesseph, age 71, of Hutchinson, Kansas, passed away Thursday, January 15, 2026, at Sandstone Heights in Little River, Kansas.

Pamela was born January 18, 1954, in Newton, Kansas, to Theodore "Ted" Hopkins Jr. and Audrey (Hall) Hopkins, who preceded her in death. She was raised in Newton and graduated from Newton High School in May of 1972. Following high school, Pamela attended beauty school and worked as a beautician before dedicating her life to her home and family.

In March of 1975, Pamela met the love of her life, Dennis Jesseph. They were married on August 16, 1975, beginning a lifelong partnership rooted in love, faith, and devotion. Together, they built a beautiful family and were blessed with two children, a daughter, Chastity, and a son, Kelly.

Pamela was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, and her family was truly her world. While she was not one for traveling far from home, she deeply cherished time spent visiting her children in their homes, where she found joy simply being together. She greatly enjoyed
attending her children's and grandchildren's sporting events, school programs, and any activity they were involved in. Pamela was Methodist by faith and loved attending church; over time, she fell in love with New Hope Church, which she came to consider her church family. She also found peace in life's quiet moments, especially sitting on her front porch with a glass of tea, watching nature, and caring for her beloved birds.

She is survived by her husband, Dennis Jesseph, of the home; her daughter, Chastity Elfers, and husband Ray, of Darrouzett, Texas; her son, Kelly Jesseph, and wife Maithy, of Little River, Kansas; her brother, Bruce Hopkins, of Hesston, Kansas; her sisters, Sue Unruh of Newton, Kansas, Veda Mosley of Indiana, Brenda Hopkins of Illinois, and her half-sister, Pam Strothkamp, of Omaha, Nebraska.

Pamela is also survived by her five grandchildren: Abigail Briscoe, Keith Briscoe, Ethan Jesseph, Tobias Jesseph, and Christina Jesseph, all of Little River, Kansas.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at New Hope Evangelical Church in McPherson, Kansas, with Rev. George Bocox officiating.

Memorials have been established in Pamela's memory with the Alzheimer's Association, in care of Baker Funeral Home.

"He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away."
