Peggy Huebert Rouse passed away peacefully on November 28, 2024, in Wichita, Kansas. She was born on August 8, 1961, to loving parents, Kurt and Leota Huebert. Peggy grew up in Halstead, KS, working at her family's restaurant, Kurt's Dari Inn, where she was known to make a mean cherry limeade! After leaving Halstead, Peggy worked at Carlson Company for 30 years and was dedicated and hard-working employee.

In her personal life, Peggy enjoyed traveling, gardening, and music. She traveled extensively with her parents and took memorable trips to Alaska and Europe. Some of her favorite activities included gathering with family, making Christmas cookies, with an expertise in Peppernut rolling and caring for her dogs. She had a special bond with animals, especially her dog, Max. When the weather was nice, you could find her enjoying motorcycle rides or tending to her garden. Her infectious smile and warm spirit touched all who knew her.

Peggy is survived by her two sons, Dietrich and Benjamin Rouse, both of whom were the center of her life. She will be dearly missed by her devoted partner Jack Herron; two sisters Kathy Huebert, and Karen Hodges; granddaughter Molly; stepdaughters Angela Hallberg, and Teara Wolfe; and countless other families and friends.

Though she is no longer with us, Peggy's memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her. A celebration of life with family and friends will be held on Friday, January 10th, 2025 from 4:00PM to 6:00PM at Baker Funeral Home, 3224 N Tyler Rd, Wichita, KS 67205.
