Rhonda DeAnn Greenfeather passed away peacefully on June 21, 2025, in Wichita, Kansas, at the age of 63. A deeply loved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Rhonda was known for her strength, resilience, and the fierce love she gave to her family. Her warmth, wisdom, and unwavering support shaped the lives of those closest to her, and her legacy will live on in the
hearts of all who were blessed to know her.

Rhonda was born on July 19, 1961, in Wichita, Kansas, to Ross Duane Greenfeather and Margaret Ann Greenfeather. Her mother, Margaret, was her deepest and dearest friend—a bond that remained unbreakable throughout their lives. Rhonda was one of three children and the only daughter, growing up between her two brothers: "Bron" Ross Duane Greenfeather Jr. and Henry Richard Greenfeather. From the very beginning, she was a bright spirit—always laughing, quick- witted, and known for her fiery streak when she was passionate about something. That spark never faded as she grew, and it became one of the many qualities that made her unforgettable.

She was deeply rooted in her faith, spending her youth active in church groups and singing in the choir. Her incredible voice became a gift she shared generously, singing at weddings, funerals, and countless gatherings over the years. Rhonda also had a deep love for karaoke and especially cherished singing alongside her loved ones during family gatherings at the cabins—affectionately known as Alcorn Acres.

A proud graduate of East High School in Wichita, Kansas, Class of 1978, Rhonda accomplished the impressive feat of graduating a year early. She went on to build a successful career in the aircraft industry as an electrical engineer. She specialized in schematics for Boeing and had the
distinct honor of contributing to major projects like Air Force One and the B-52. As her multiple sclerosis progressed, Rhonda made the decision to retire and devote her time and energy to what mattered most—her health, her children, and her beloved grandchildren.
Rhonda was also a proud member of the Cherokee Nation. Her heritage was an important part of her identity, and she carried it with grace and strength throughout her life.

She had a heart for helping others and was involved in charitable work. She found great purpose working with the Kingdom Cares nonprofit organization known for their Back-to-School outreach, where they helped fill backpacks with school supplies and Kansas City Chiefs items for children in need. Her love for Jesus, her family, her community, and the Chiefs were constants in her life—things anyone who knew her could tell you about within minutes of meeting her.

Rhonda was preceded in death by her parents, Ross Duane and Margaret Ann Greenfeather, and her brother, Henry Richard Greenfeather.

Her life continues to be honored and remembered by those who survive her, including her brother, "Bron" Ross Duane Greenfeather Jr., and her children whom she loved so deeply: Aaron Shawn Greenfeather and Kimbra Shea Greenfeather, and to her bonus child, Pauline Elena Alcorn whom she loved as her own.

Rhonda was also a proud and deeply loving grandmother to many, each of whom held a special place in her heart. She now watches over: Madison Lanning, Jordan Pickard, Dakota Greenfeather, Christina Stowell, Angelina Davis, Leroy Davis, Skylar Davis, Devin Davis, Serene Davis, Hannah Flanigan, Kamarah Lynn, James Lynn Jr., and Emiliana Lynn.

In addition to her grandchildren, Rhonda was blessed with seven great-grandchildren, all of whom brought her immense joy and pride. Her legacy lives on through the many lives she nurtured, uplifted, and loved so fiercely.

A Celebration of Life for Rhonda DeAnn Greenfeather will be held at New Life Covenant Church, located at 1819 W. Douglas Ave., Wichita, Kansas. The service will take place on Saturday, July 19th, 2025, at 11am. In true Rhonda fashion, all guests are encouraged to wear Kansas City Chiefs attire—or at the very least, something red and yellow. Bills fans, however,... we're afraid it's mandatory Chiefs gear for you. She wouldn't have it any other way.

At the conclusion of the service, the family invites those in attendance to share their stories and memories of Rhonda. Whether through laughter or tears, your memories are a gift—and the family looks forward to remembering her together in the company of those who loved her most.

Though our hearts are heavy with the loss of Rhonda, we take comfort in knowing she is no longer in pain, no longer bound by illness, and is now made whole in the presence of her Savior. As Psalm 3 reminds us, "But You, O Lord, are a shield around me, my glory, and the lifter of my head." In our sorrow, we cry out as in Psalm 6, "The Lord has heard my weeping." And in the stillness of our grief, we trust the promise of Psalm 5: "You surround them with your favor as with a shield."

We will forever remember her radiant smile and the laugh we all loved so deeply—the one you heard before you saw her, the one that echoed through every room, warm and unforgettable. It was a laugh that drew people in, that sparked joy in the hearts of everyone nearby. Rhonda would want us to feel joy, to hold tight to laughter, and to love one another with grace. She would want us to forgive easily, to move forward in love, and to cherish the time we have with our family and friends. Her life was a testament to the healing power of compassion, and her legacy will live on through every act of kindness we choose to carry in her name.
