He was born in Massillon, Ohio, on March 19, 1957.

Robert lived a life of adventure, curiosity, and determination. As a teenager, he ran away to join the carnival, setting the tone for a lifetime of bold pursuits. Over the years, he earned his pilot's license, drove taxi cabs and semi-trucks, and built several businesses, including a trucking company and a produce company in downtown Atlanta, Georgia. He also served as a volunteer driver for the Red Cross, making deliveries and pick-ups across Kansas. Robert was a proud member of the local landlord's group, where he enjoyed sharing coffee and conversation.

He is survived by his wife, Josefena Biehl (Bautista); daughter, Misty Hopper (Justin) of Pittsburg, Kansas; son, Anthony Biehl of Wichita; stepdaughter, Glezelle Andrino (Neil); stepsons, Gian Bautista and Gerald Bautista, all of Georgia; and his grandchildren, Maggie, Lena, Serenity, Jaycee, Eli, and Isabella. He is also survived by his sisters, Jeanne Anderson Guinn and Judith Armistead (William) of Warren, Ohio; brother, Frank Anderson of Boardman, Ohio; sister, Mary Mrozowski; and cousin, Marilyn Fitzgerald of Massillon, Ohio, along with countless nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his biological mother, Joyce Phelps Back; his adopted parents, Ransom and Margaret (Phelps) Biehl; and his cousin, Ronald J. Biehl.

Robert will be remembered for his wanderlust, endless bucket list, and passion for learning. His adventurous spirit and the stories he collected along the way will continue to inspire all who knew and loved him.
