Robert M Billups was born April 17, 1932 in Mendon County, Missouri to Robert Earl Billups and Ruby Pauline (Fry) Billups.

Bob was raised in Streator, Illinois where he graduated Streator High School in 1950. Bob enlisted in the United State Air Force in 1952 and served in Big Springs, TX. He was stationed in Okinawa, Japan from 1955 to 1956 as a Jet Mechanic then spent the rest of his military service as a draftsman.

Bob married Janet Mounce in 1958. They were blessed with 4 Children; Michelle, Douglas, Matthew "Dan" and Timothy. Bob was a Sales Manager/Service Engineer for Anthony Companies until 1973 when he and the family moved to Wichita, Kansas. There he was a Sales Manager/Service Engineer for Kansas Truck Equipment until his retirement in 1997.

Bob’s passions were his family, gardening and motorcycles. After retirement he attended many motorcycle rallies with family and friends as well as traveling around the country to the National Parks.

Bob is survived by; his wife Janet; daughter Michelle Truitt; sons Douglas Billups, Matthew "Dan" Billups and wife Christi, and Timothy Billups and wife Denise; nephew Dunavan Billups; niece Kristin Billups; as well as 8 Grandchildren and 12 Great-Grandchildren. Bob was preceded in death by; father Robert Earl Billups; mother Ruby Pauline (Fry) Billups; brother Ronald Dean Billups; and granddaughter Jordan Burke.

Robert was blessed with a long full life, always surrounded with lots of love from his family and friends. 

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1p.m. on Sunday, September 6th, 2026 at son Timothy Billups home, 8959 Woodside St, Haysville, KS 67060.
