Robert Edward
Peavey
Oct 25, 1952 — Dec 14, 2024
Wichita
Robert (Bob) Edward Peavey passed away peacefully in his home full of love, on December 14, 2024. He was born in Pine Bluff, Arkansas on October 25, 1952.
Preceded in death by his parents, James and Genevieve Peavey. Survived by his spouse, Dalene Peavey, son Ryan Peavey, daughter Alison Bishop (Ted Bishop), grandsons Cooper and Rex Bishop, all of Wichita, and brother James Peavey of Plano, TX.
He served in the United States Air Force and graduated from Wichita State University with a degree in accounting. Obtaining a CPA license, he worked in corporate finance for over 40 years. He enjoyed an early retirement allowing him to spend more time with his family.
Those who knew him know his love of travel and experiencing life to the fullest. He was an avid Shocker enthusiast and a loyal Chiefs fan. He played in a poker league and numerous golf leagues and really enjoyed the brotherhood both of these hobbies gave him. He loved cold beer, a good laugh, a great story and telling mediocre jokes. He was a phenomenon at water-skiing, growing up on the water and riding horses with his brother and parents. But above everything he loved, was the love he had for his wife. He called her Daylight. They traveled around the world together and were to celebrate 49 years of marriage in January.
We will be honoring Bob with a celebration of life on December 29, 2024 at Reflection Ridge Clubhouse, from 3-6; 7700 W Reflection Rd, Wichita, KS, 67205. I hope that you'll come, have a beer and share stories of our beloved Bob. Truly a legend.
