Ruth Evelyn Worthington, 103 years of age, passed away June 12, 2026. 

She was born January 8, 1923, to James and Gertrude Brink in Kansas City, KS. 

Ruth is preceded in death by her parents and sister and brother, her loving husband of 56 years Lawrence Worthington, their son T.J. Worthington of Sparta, NC, and daughter Carol Felts of Wichita, KS. 

She is survived by her daughter Nancy Rosencutter of Colorado Springs, CO, along with five grandchildren Allison Worthington, Matt Rosencutter, Bryan Rosencutter (wife Tarja), Chad Greenup (wife Elizabeth) and Tristan Davis, eight great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and lots of friends.

Ruth graduated high school in Kansas City, KS. At 40 she learned how to drive. She went to cosmetology school to become a hair stylist. Ruth taught at Vernon's School of Cosmetology for 40 years as well as selling Mary Kay cosmetics. She liked to keep busy! Ruth retired at the age of 91, mainly due to her eyesight. 

She was a Baptist who loved the Lord and always helped out at her church, teaching Sunday school classes and singing in the choir. She also loved to sew. 

Ruth will be greatly missed by her family and friends. 

A visitation will be held from 6:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at Baker Funeral Home West, 3224 N Tyler Rd. Wichita, KS.

A Graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at Kechi Cemetery, 6523 N. Hillside Avenue, Park City, Kansas 67219.
