Sandra Kay Norman, 77, died April 25, 2025, at Henry Hynes Memorial Hospice in Wichita. She was born on August 24, 1947, at Dodge City, KS, the daughter of Ernest and Mary Jane (Wakeman) Dodd. She graduated from Fowler High School in 1965 and then graduated from Cosmetology School in Dodge City. She married Michael B. Norman on August 26, 1967, at the Fowler United Methodist Church in Fowler, KS. Sandy worked at a beauty shop in Fowler while her husband completed boot camp at Ft. Hood in Killeen, TX. She later moved to join him. While there, they welcomed their first daughter Melissa in 1970. The same year, they moved home to Fowler and joined working on the family farm. Their second daughter Shannon was born in 1975. In 1976 they moved to a new home in Fowler. Sandy was a farmer's wife for many years helping on the farm and taking meals to the field for Mike and hired hands. In 1988 they had a surprise, and added a son, Joshua. Sandy worked as a secretary at the Fowler Grade School for 10 years. She also worked cooking at the Neon 57 for a short time and was church treasurer at her church for 18 years. Sandy enjoyed spending time with her family and with friends, she loved working in her yard and keeping a beautiful home, she liked to go shopping, she loved to go camping in the RV with Mike, she loved to read and watch her favorite tv show NCIS. She also enjoyed singing. She and Mike sang for weddings and funerals, she sang in a women's trio with her eldest daughter, and in a church band Holy Smoke.

She is survived by daughter Melissa Blackburn and husband Walter of Wichita; daughter Shannon Schneller of Overland Park; son Joshua and wife Ashley of Derby; one sister Betty Pittman (Ken) of Mansfield, TX; one brother-in-law David Norman and wife Irene of Nickerson; one sister-in-law Pat Zwickle and husband Larry of Hays. She is also survived by her grandchildren Zachary Schneller, Annie Schneller, Sophia Schneller and fiancé Grant Staehr, Michelle Schneller, Wade Blackburn, Ava Norman, Ruby Norman, Wesley Norman, and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, her parents, in-laws Howard and Geraldine Norman, and sister-in-law Christine Weber.

Celebration service will be held at the Friends Church in Fowler on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at 10:00 am with Pastor Dennis McDowell presiding. Inurnment will be held at the Fowler Cemetery following the service. Cremation has taken place. Baker Funeral Home
