Shirley K. (Langvardt) Price, 78, of Wichita, Kansas, passed away on March 30, 2025, after a courageous 12-year battle with cancer.

Shirley was born on March 9, 1947, in Junction City, Kansas, to Donnell Langvardt and Loretta Day. She was the youngest child after brothers Donnell Jr and Gary. She attended school in Abilene, Kansas, and later began her career at Western Union. While living in Dodge City, Kansas, Shirley met the love of her life, Robert Price. The two were married for 57 years and raised two children, Greg Price and Susan Murphy. Shirley went on to dedicate much of her career to the Sedgwick County Special Education Cooperative, where she retired after many years of service.

A devoted member of her church, Shirley was considered the miracle child of the church, battling many health issues. She was also an avid gardener, often proudly sharing the beauty of her flower garden with those around her. Shirley found peace and
joy in visiting waterfalls, a reminder of the beauty and serenity of the world.

Above all, Shirley cherished her role as a grandmother and great-grandmother. Her grandchildren, Jordan McLarty and Piper Price and great-grandchildren, Annabella and Nyxson McLarty were the light of her life, and their love and presence gave her the
strength to fight every day.

Shirley is preceded in death by her parents, her brother Gary, and son Greg. She leaves behind her husband, daughter, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family, and a multitude of friends and loved ones who will miss her deeply.

A memorial service will be held to honor Shirley's life and memory April 25th 11 am at Westwood Presbyterian church, 8007 W Maple, Wichita KS.
