Stephen Edward "Steve" Odendahl, 55, of Wichita, Kansas, passed away peacefully at home on March 11, 2026, surrounded by his family.

Steve was born April 28, 1970, in Omaha, Nebraska, to Donald George Odendahl and Mary Denise Odendahl. He graduated from Halstead High School and went on to build a long career in Wichita's aircraft industry, working for more than 20 years as a cabinet builder. Steve took pride in his craftsmanship and the work he did with his hands.

Above all else, Steve loved his family. He enjoyed flying RC airplanes and anything remote control, especially if it meant spending time with his kids. Whether it was building, fixing, or flying something together, those were the moments he treasured most.

Steve will be remembered for his steady presence, his dedication to family, and the quiet ways he showed love to those around him. His family will forever hold close the memories they shared with him.

He is survived by his wife, Melissa Odendahl of Wichita; his children, Jacob Dennett and spouse Emily Dennett, Madeleine Manns and spouse Joesef Manns, Tucker Odendahl, Izabell Odendahl, and Alana Odendahl; his mother, Mary Denise Odendahl; and his siblings, Scott Odendahl and spouse Andrea, and Juli Sump.

He was preceded in death by his father, Donald George Odendahl.

A viewing will be held Friday, March 20, from 5:00–7:00 p.m. at Baker Funeral Home, 3224 N. Tyler Rd., Wichita, KS 67205.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 21, at 10:00 a.m. at Vintage Faith Church, 2135 W. 13th St. N., Wichita, KS 67203, with a lunch following the service.
