Susan Ludwick, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and lifelong caregiver, passed away on May 18, 2026, at the age of 71. Susan had back surgery in January, and several complications followed in the months after.

Susan dedicated her professional life to the service and care of others. As a retired nurse, she touched countless lives in the Wichita community, serving patients with compassion at Wesley Medical Center and later caring for generations of children as a school nurse for Wichita Public Schools.

While Susan was passionate about her nursing career, her greatest joy and proudest achievement was her family. She cherished every moment spent with them, creating a lifetime of warm memories, laughter, and love.

Susan was preceded in death by her beloved son, Jason; her parents; her sister; and several brothers-in-law.

Her legacy of love lives on through her surviving family: her devoted husband, Bill; her son, Andrew Ludwick and his wife Caitlin; her daughter, Natalie Holland and her husband Michael Holland; and her five cherished grandchildren, Magnolia and Iris Holland, and Barrett, Henry, and Bowen Ludwick. Many in-laws, nieces, nephews, and countless friends cherished her love.

A service honoring Susan will be held on Friday, May 22nd at 11 am at Baker Funeral Home in West Wichita at 3224 N. Tyler Road.
