A bright new star was sent to our heavens early Monday morning, January 20, 2025.  It is with heavy and weeping heart's we are sharing that My Sweetheart and Our Girl, Therese 'Tara' Carr, passed away peacefully in bed.

Some of you know she had been diagnosed with ovarian cancer the day after Thanksgiving and was fiercely determined to beat it.  Tara was very active in the Wichita Music Community over the past 25 years, playing as often as she could with her friends. Tara received her Master's degree from The Wichita State University in 2009 and taught English Composition there for several years.  She spent as much time as she possibly could at her favorite place on earth - her Cabin in Stonewall, Colorado with her extended Stonewall and Trinidad, Colorado families. Her death came unexpectedly, and her loss is and will be felt keenly by her family, friends, bandmates and people throughout the music and education communities.

Tara is survived by Husband of 30 years James, Daughter Cory, Father Gary, Sister Mindi, Sister Kit, and Brother Scott.

Please keep James, Cory and family in your hearts and prayers at this time.  She will always be in our music and our hearts.  We will always love you, Tara.
